This is why it’s unsurprising that Porsche emerged in the top spot for customer satisfaction in J.D. Power’s 2016 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study. The company has won this spot for the 12th year in a row now. This is just one of the many accolades that cement the company’s status as a quality manufacturer.
A Survey on Customer Satisfaction
J.D. Power conducted the survey on more than 80,000 new car owners. The survey asked respondents to give their feedback 90 days after getting their vehicles. Respondents rated their cars for 77 characteristics, which ranged from interior appeal to driver-assist technologies.
Porsche earned the top spot with 877 out of 1,000 points overall. Three models, in particular, received high satisfaction scores: the Porsche 911, the Boxter, and the new compact Macan.
Surely, the accessibility of certified service centers in several major cities contributes to the customers’ satisfaction. Formula Motorsports in NYC, for instance, specializes in nine models (including all three mentioned above) and offers maintenance and other services. All Porsche-certified service centers are equipped to carry out repairs, restorations, and other services.
Sales Satisfaction Guaranteed
In another J.D. Power survey, Porsche continued to reign supreme. The Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI), which measures the buyers’ satisfaction in the sales process, had more than 28,000 respondents. These were car buyers who bought or leased new cars from April to May 2016. The respondents rated their experience, from interactions with and the performance of the dealers to the processing of car insurance. The results showed that Porsche buyers had the most pleasant experience with the help of accredited dealers.

It’s not surprising that Porsche landed these top spots for customer and sales satisfaction. The company is well-known for their dedication to providing quality services to customers.
